Late last night, scenes resembling a Western movie unfolded on Syngrou Avenue, Athens, with a man opening fire and injuring a 35-year-old in the hand. A 22-year-old was also injured during the preceding brawl.

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. today when two individuals got out of a black SUV and violently fought with two young men riding a motorcycle on the side road of Syngrou Avenue, near Amfitheas Avenue.

A fierce fight ensued, during which the 22-year-old was injured in the head, while a person wearing a black hat drew a gun and shot the 35-year-old, lightly injuring him in his right hand.

The perpetrators then entered the luxury vehicle and fled the scene, while the two injured men took their motorcycle to the Asklepieio Hospital in Voula.

However, since the hospital was not on duty, they were transferred by an ambulance to the General State Hospital of Nikaia, where they are being treated out of danger.

Police collected two bullets and a shell casing from the scene of the altercation. According to reports, the two groups had arranged a meeting to resolve their differences.
