Cypriot police arrested on Thursday morning 8 Syrians residing in Pafos and Lemesos, allegedly involved in a terrorist network.

Those arrested were taken to Nicosia and will be brought to the Court for detention orders to be issued so that they can be questioned.

All had come to Cyprus illegally as political asylum seekers.

However, information emerged about their links with Islamic organizations.
