Shot hairdresser Panos Kallitsis, released from prison and arrested for trafficking pink cocaine

The 50-year-old perpetrator was sentenced to several years in prison for the attack on the well-known hairdresser

Newsroom October 15 10:41

He was released only to be… arrested a few years later on drug charges. The reason for the man who in 2016 had opened fire on the well-known hairdresser, Panos Kallitsis when the hairdresser and his then-wife were entering the garage of their home in Lykavettos with the intention of robbing them.

The man, now 50 years old, was arrested along with two other people, tried, convicted and in 2022 released on parole. Apparently he didn’t cut out the bad habits though as he is now in the hands of the authorities again, this time for drugs.

As the report indicates, the countdown to his arrest began after information reached the police which referred to a person dealing drugs in nightclubs in Patras.

Police officers initially located, at the junction of Agios Nikolaos and Agios Andreou streets, a 41-year-old man, who, as it turned out, had purchased a small amount of cocaine and cannabis from the 50-year-old for 70 euros.

The 50-year-old was arrested as he was leaving his home. During searches at their homes, 16.76 grams of cocaine, 1 gram of pink cocaine, three precision scales, 675 euros, a 32mm pistol with a silencer and a magazine with seven cartridges, an electric discharge device (tazer), a silicone face mask, a face mask, a mouth-nose mask and some other findings were found.
