The 44-year-old targeted stores, pharmacies, and hotels in areas of Northeast Attica
A video showcasing the actions of the 44-year-old, who was arrested on Tuesday for armed robberies in Northeast Attica, has been released by protothema.gr.
Watch the video of the robbery at a pharmacy:
Since at least August, the suspect would scout the locations he aimed to rob, confirming that there were no customers inside before entering. Armed with either a gun or a knife, he demanded cash. He primarily struck during the afternoon and evening hours, using a motorcycle that provided him with mobility on the roads.
To hinder identification and capture, he took measures to conceal his facial features by wearing a helmet with the logo of a well-known delivery company, a mask, and sunglasses. He frequently changed his clothing and covered his motorcycle’s license plate with a towel or bag.
Following a search of his home, the following items were found and seized:
- 0.8 grams of heroin
- A replica handgun
- A mobile phone
- Clothing and helmet worn during the commission of the crimes.
From the preliminary investigation, 13 robbery cases and one attempted theft in Kifisia, Pevki, and Marousi have been solved.
