28th Athens Cycling Tour: Changes to the Tram timetable on Sunday

Details of which roads will be closed

Due to the 28th Athens Cycling Tour, the schedules on Tram Line 6 “Pikrodafni – Syntagma” on Sunday (20/10) from 7 AM until the end of the Cycling Tour will have “FIX” station as the terminal stop.

Additionally, traffic regulations will be in effect in Athens on Sunday.

Specifically, there will be gradual traffic stoppages and bans on parking and stopping vehicles on the following avenues, squares, and streets in the Municipality of Athens, as follows:

From 07:00 to 13:00:

  • Syngrou Ave., from Ath. Diakou St. to Dion. Areopagitou St., and the side streets up to the first parallel road, towards Amalias Ave., as well as from Dion. Areopagitou St. to Vourvachi St., and the side streets up to the first parallel road, towards Poseidonos Ave.
  • Vasil. Olgas Ave., along its entire length.
  • Ath. Diakou St., along its entire length.
  • Vourvachi St., from Kallirrois St. to Syngrou Ave., and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Chatzichristou St., along its entire length, and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Veikou St., along its entire length, and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Gennaiou Kolokotroni St., along its entire length, and the side streets up to the first parallel road.

  • Marnis St., from Vathi Square to Patision St., and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Alexandras Ave., from Mavrommateon St. to Patision St., and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Akadimias St., along its entire length, and the side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasilissis Sofias Ave., from Zacharoff St. to Amalias Ave., and the side streets up to the first parallel road, in both directions.
  • Vasilissis Konstantinou Ave., from Merkouri St. to Vasilissis Sofias Ave., and the side streets up to the first parallel road, towards Vasilissis Sofias Ave.

Additionally, the crossing of vehicles along the Cycling Tour route will be prohibited for the duration of the event, except for the controlled junction at Vasilissis Sofias Ave. and Rigillis St.

The Traffic Police urges drivers to avoid these roads and avenues during the specified times to facilitate traffic flow and to follow the signs and instructions of the traffic controllers.
