Breathtaking videos of an Urbex (Urban Exploration) team of young Greeks who managed to sleep one night in the… upper “apartments” of OAKA.
In particular, the group of youngsters likes to explore abandoned buildings and areas, but also locations that no one else can step on, thus raising their adrenaline levels.
The Lumiere Urbex team has achieved something they seem to have been trying for some time. They climbed up and walked on the Kalatrava canopy at the OAKA, without any equipment of course.
While they spent the whole night in hammocks set up inside the Olympic Stadium. Of course in the comments of the videos they have posted everyone is asking the team to explain how they managed to get there, but they continue to keep it a closely guarded secret. After all, technically they are also hiding his faces in the videos.
Other similar videos can be found on their profile, and one of their highlights was when they reached an altitude of 1,108 meters on Mount Penteli in the summer.

What is Urbex or Urban Exploration
Urban exploration, commonly known as urbex or infiltration, is the thrilling adventure of exploring abandoned buildings, hidden tunnels, factories, sewers, and other neglected spaces. While it often focuses on derelict structures, it can also include active sites, which adds an extra layer of excitement—and risk—due to the potential for trespassing or even burglary.
One of the fundamental principles of urban explorers is to leave no trace behind. This means they don’t take anything from the locations they visit, avoid vandalizing the space with graffiti, and refrain from picking locks. Instead, many explorers capture stunning photographs of their adventures, often employing advanced techniques like HDR (High Dynamic Range) and light painting to showcase the beauty of these forgotten places.
However, the risks associated with urban exploration are significant. Beyond legal issues, explorers face real dangers such as falls, drowning, and even electrocution. The thrill comes with a price!
Moreover, underground exploration often intersects with the quest to confirm urban legends and myths, adding a layer of mystery to these adventures. Whether you’re an armchair explorer or someone ready to embark on an adventure of your own, the world of Urbex is a captivating mix of history, danger, and discovery.
