The 22-year-old, who survived the Hamas attack near the Re’im kibbutz in Israel, took her own life in her apartment.
Shirel Golan, who turned 22 today, had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), according to her family, and had been hospitalized twice.
Her brother, Eyal, stated: “I saw that she had symptoms of PTSD, such as withdrawing and distancing herself from her friends. I asked her to take care of herself. She said she wasn’t receiving any help from the state.”
Just heartbreaking beyond words 💔
