Stefanos Kasselakis visits Chalkida amid controversy over alleged member suppression

Kasselakis' team criticizes "member suppression" in Vrillissia and Kaisariani, calling It a dark chapter for SYRIZA

Newsroom October 24 05:30

Stefanos Kasselakis is set to visit Chalkida this evening (October 24) for a scheduled meeting with local SYRIZA members. The gathering is planned for 7:30 PM at a well-known café along the Chalkida seafront.

However, Kasselakis’ team has raised serious concerns about recent events in SYRIZA, citing the alleged suppression of member votes in the Vrillissia and Kaisariani areas. According to a statement from Kasselakis’ press office, a small minority within the party prevented members from voting on resolutions, marking “another dark chapter for SYRIZA.”

The statement emphasized the need for change, condemning these actions as “shameful” for the party and calling for a restoration of open dialogue within SYRIZA, ensuring that members’ voices are heard.
