The fire broke out earlier in a forested area, and during the firefighting efforts, a 30-year-old forest ranger experienced discomfort from the thick smoke and was taken to Agios Andreas Hospital.
The firefighting response involved 50 firefighters, two ground teams from the 6th Special Unit for Forest Operations, 13 vehicles, and two aircraft.
