Rui Vitoria has officially become Panathinaikos’s new coach, and Diego Alonso is making one last visit to Koropi to say his farewell.

The experienced coach visited the training center with his assistants to bid farewell to the players and staff of the “greens.”

In his speech, the Uruguayan expressed his appreciation for their collaboration, stating: “Thank you very much for your cooperation and daily dedication to the work. As I told you after the match with Aris, you are an excellent team.

And that is what ultimately remains in every journey, working with good characters. In football, as in life, there are good and bad moments. This is a difficult moment for us. I didn’t come here to say ‘goodbye,’ because football is like a wheel that turns, and we may meet again in the future. I wish you all the best.”

Immediately after, the team’s technical director, Giannis Papadimitriou, took the floor and emphasized: “We want to thank you for your collaboration. We will do everything we can to win the championship, something we know will bring you joy as well.”
