A rescue operation coordinated by the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Center saved 97 migrants found on a vessel in the open sea, 76 nautical miles southwest of Katakolo, near the Gulf of Kyparissia.

The migrants, identified by a passing ship in the area, were safely rescued and are being transported to the port of Katakolo. The weather conditions were favorable, with light northeastern winds of around three on the Beaufort scale.”
