An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested on Wednesday by the Greek Police, charged with robbery and attempted robbery in complicity.
Specifically, according to the Hellenic Police, the accused approached a gas station early Wednesday morning, where they attempted to steal a sum of money by threatening the employee with a weapon but were unsuccessful as the employee managed to escape. They then went to another nearby gas station, where they immobilized the employee with the threat of a weapon and stole a sum of money from the cash register.
Police officers from the Immediate Response Unit, after searching the area, identified the 18-year-old and took him to the Kifisia Security Department, where he was confirmed as the perpetrator of the above crimes. An air gun was also found and seized in his possession.
Additionally, a few hours later, the 17-year-old was located and arrested by officers from the Kifisia Security Department, with the assistance of officers from the Northeastern Security Subdivision. He had been identified as an accomplice along with the 18-year-old, and clothing used during the robberies was also seized.
The arrested individuals were taken before the appropriate prosecutor after a case file was formed against them by the Kifisia Security Department.
