An anniversary event of remembrance and honor for National Resistance heroine Lela Karagianni is being held today, Wednesday, at the War Museum.

The President Mrs. Lela Byronos Karagianni, the Board and the members of the National Resistance Organization 1941-1944 “LELA KARAYANNI – BOUMPULINA” invite to the anniversary event of memory and honor of the 80th anniversary of the execution of the heroine of the National Resistance and Brigadier General on Honor Lela Karagianni, by the German Nazi occupation troops, which takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence, on Wednesday 6th November 2024 at 19:00:00, at the “Ioannis Kapodistrias” Amphitheatre of the War Museum.
“Ioannis Kapodistrias Ioannis Khanos Ioannis Khanos” at the “Ioannis Khanos” Hall of the Museum of History at the “Ioannis Khanos” in Athens.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Ioannis Kefalogiannis, and the Deputy Minister of Interior of Macedonia-Thrace Kostas Gioulekas will speak about Lela Karagiannis and her legendary action, while her granddaughter Lela Vyr will address the audience.
