Donald Trump appointed 27-year-old Caroline Levitt as the next White House Press Secretary. Levitt, who distinguished herself as the press secretary for Trump’s election campaign and his transition team, will become the new face of the U.S. presidency. “Caroline is smart, unwavering, and has proven to be very effective in communication,” Trump said in an official statement.

Levitt will be the youngest person to hold this position. Previously, she served as deputy communications director at the White House during Trump’s first term (2017-2021) and later worked as a spokesperson for Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who has been selected for the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Levitt ran for the House of Representatives in 2022 in New Hampshire but lost to Democrat Chris Pappas. It is worth noting that Trump had replaced four press secretaries during his first term.

The elected president also announced that Steven Chang would take on the role of White House communications director. Chang served as communications director during Trump’s election campaign. Meanwhile, Sergio Gor was appointed as the presidential chief of staff.

Trump expressed confidence in Chang and Gor, saying, “They were trusted advisors from my first presidential campaign in 2016 and have continued to defend the principles of the ‘America First’ policy.”

These appointments mark the beginning of Trump’s second term with a strong and tested team, tasked with handling the communication challenges of the presidency.
