The weather will continue in an autumnal pattern over the next few days with showers and southerly winds as much of Europe is hit by low temperatures and snow.
According to meteorologist Clearchos Marousakis, “Extended, deep and well-organized low pressure will bring heavy winters to much of the Old Continent with snow descending very low and rainfall a major concern. At the same time that the snow will dress in white even large cities in the central parts of Europe, our country will enjoy temperatures that will exceed even 20° in terms of maximum values”.
As Marousakis notes in our country several rains are expected in many geographical areas. “At the top of the intensity and volume of rainfall will be found in western Greece, in the second degree will be affected in the north and the eastern Aegean and in the third and other areas of our country forming what we call in meteorology “P-type weather”. South winds will dominate on land and sea reaching locally storm levels carrying African dust to the south with emphasis on the area of Crete.”
