Anna Diamantopoulou chose to comment on the dramatic developments in Greek politics through a video from Spain. The resignation of Theodora Tzakri and Giota Poulou from SYRIZA has elevated PASOK to the position of the main opposition party.
“In the morning, I took off from Athens, and PASOK was the third party. I landed in Barcelona, and PASOK is now the main opposition,” said Diamantopoulou.
As PASOK’s Head of Political Planning, Diamantopoulou noted, “Such a turnaround has never happened before in the history of Greece, and I think not even in Europe.”
Despite the excitement, she called for caution and focus: “We need composure, a proper analysis of the data, and a lot of hard work,” she emphasized.
