Newsroom November 21 02:36

Eirini Mourtzoukou was arrested because there was a lawsuit pending against her from a member of her family for defamation.

The 24-year-old woman had gone to the Ampelokipi Police Station to file a lawsuit against journalist Petros Kousoulou. However, it was discovered there was an outstanding defamation charge against her from someone in her family, and the time limit for immediate prosecution had not yet passed. According to reports, this was the third such lawsuit filed by the same person against her.

The lawsuit against Mourtzoukou came after her appearance on a television show, where she “named” a man as the father of her children. Specifically, the 24-year-old stated that the father of her children was a person from her family and even the father of one of her deceased child’s siblings, who passed away in February 2021.

“If I say who the father of my children is, I’ll end up in a ditch! He’ll slit my throat,” she remarked.

After considerable pressure, the 24-year-old revealed that the father of her two deceased children was a relative by marriage. According to her, this person waited for her twice late at night when she returned from work, and they had sexual relations, which resulted in her becoming pregnant both times.
