Lymberis began his journey in publishing in 1981. A passionate surfer and sports enthusiast (football, squash, track and field, tennis), he studied Photography in Cologne and Directing in Munich. During his studies, he worked at a photography studio, which foreshadowed his professional path. Upon returning to Greece, he served in the Navy and continued traveling the world to participate in surfing competitions, always with his camera in hand.

His love for surfing and photography culminated in his first book, “Windsurfing for Beginners and Advanced Learners,” which he wrote and illustrated himself. During a surfing competition in the Bahamas, a German publisher suggested he create a magazine dedicated to surfing. This idea led to the launch of “Surf & Ski,” funded with a small loan from his mother. Despite early challenges, the magazine succeeded, paving the way for future ventures.

Over the years, Lymberis launched groundbreaking magazines, including “STATUS” in 1988, which became iconic for its representation of the modern Greek lifestyle. His portfolio grew to include “7 ΜΕRΕS TV,” “ΕGO!,” “LIFE&STYLE,” “VOGUE,” and more, along with radio stations and international ventures. Lymberis transformed the Greek publishing landscape, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and excellence.
