Detailed Medical Announcement

A detailed medical update released on Thursday afternoon stated:
“As previously reported, Ms. Kyriaki Papadopoulou (Marinella) was admitted urgently to Hygeia Hospital on 25/9/2024 due to massive intracerebral hemorrhage. She remained in the hospital’s ICU until 16/10/2024.

Now stabilized and out of danger, she has been moved to a general ward, where she continues to be hospitalized. From the onset, her condition showed no major complications.

Any issues that arose were entirely expected, given her age and the severity of her illness. They were addressed promptly and effectively with the appropriate therapeutic treatments. Her health condition is improving at the expected pace.”

Attending Physicians:

  • Ilias K. Politakis, Director of the 3rd Internal Medicine Clinic, Hygeia
  • Panagiotis Nomikos, Director of the 1st Neurosurgery Clinic, Hygeia
  • Kostas Spengos, Director of the 2nd Neurology Clinic, Hygeia.
