A police officer has been referred to the Thessaloniki examining magistrate to testify in connection with a serious drug trafficking case.
In the same case, authorities also arrested a civilian, who will likewise be called to provide explanations before the magistrate handling the investigation.
According to reports, the two suspects were arrested in the Asprovalta area following a police operation conducted by the Internal Affairs Division of Northern Greece’s Security Forces. During the operation, a vehicle they were traveling in was found to contain a total of 164 grams of cocaine.
The same reports indicate that the drugs were likely sourced earlier from Thessaloniki.
