A farmer lost his life after being crushed by a tractor in Evia.

The incident occurred in the community of Stropones, in the municipality of Dirfys-Messapia, while the 50-year-old man was performing agricultural tasks. Under as-yet-unclear circumstances, he was crushed by the tractor, according to evima.gr.

Firefighters, police forces, and an EKAV ambulance rushed to the scene. The 50-year-old was transported to the hospital, where his death was confirmed.
