Yesterday, December 11, 2024, a total of five individuals were arrested in two separate incidents for violations of drug laws.
Specifically, in the first case, officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team of the Katerini Subdivision of Crime Investigation and Detection intercepted a vehicle in the Pieria region. Inside the vehicle were three Greek nationals and one foreign national. A search of the vehicle revealed a well-hidden package containing 152 grams of cocaine, which was confiscated.
Additionally, a small amount of unprocessed cannabis was found in the possession of the foreign national and confiscated. Five mobile phones in their possession were also seized.

In the second case, officers from the Narcotics Unit of the Polygyros Crime Investigation and Detection Department discovered a Greek man who had been hiding seven packages of unprocessed cannabis, totaling 1 kilogram and 252 grams, in his home in Thessaloniki. They also confiscated a package containing 14 grams of processed cannabis, 46 empty packaging bags, and one mobile phone found in his possession.
