A local man was arrested today, Friday, December 13, just after midnight by officers from the Ioannina Crime Suppression and Investigation Division. He is accused of endangerment, as he is alleged to have provided alcohol to minors.

Specifically, as part of checks conducted in collaboration with the Municipal Police to protect minors from alcohol consumption, the officers found that the arrested man, acting as the manager of an entertainment venue, had allowed the sale of alcoholic beverages to two high school students participating in a school trip.

The supervising teacher of the school trip was also arrested on the same charges.

Administrative fines prescribed by law were issued by the Municipal Police, while the arrested business manager was taken to the Ioannina Prosecutor’s Office.
