Rapid political developments are unfolding in Germany, where Chancellor Olaf Scholz has lost the parliamentary vote of confidence.

Out of the 733 members of the German Bundestag, 717 participated in the process. Olaf Scholz was voted against by 394 members, while 207 voted in his favor, and 116 abstained.

Following the vote, the path is now clear for early elections, with the most likely date being February 23, 2025.
