About her health after her diagnosis with myeloma and about the new US ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dora Bakoyannis spoke, among others, on Monday night.
Initially asked about the state of her health, the former minister replied: “I’m fine, thank God, myeloma is at zero, I have a problem with my leg that is unrelated to this, sometimes I hold a cane, sometimes I don’t, but otherwise I’m fine.”
Meanwhile, Bakoyanni was asked for her assessment of what will happen in the new Trump presidency and Gilfoil’s selection, and replied “It’s a question mark as to how the world will change after Trump is elected. His choice (of Gilfoyle) was what we call out of the box.”
“What I understand is that this is a woman who is competent, hard at her job, and has the ‘ear of the president’ that she might need. Beyond that, what I hear is sexist, I hate it, let her come and see how she behaves,” Dora Bakoyannis added.
Finally, as to whether she would like to re-activate herself in a more central role in the political system, Ms. Bakoyannis said “I am having a great time, doing what I like, doing a lot of foreign policy abroad, a lot of Chania” while her kurabiedes at the Mitsotakis-Androulaki meeting noted, “I have said one thing I know how to do and that is kurabiedes and I try to prove it every Christmas.”
