Schools are closed for the holiday break starting Tuesday, December 24 and lasting for a total of 15 days.

The schools will reopen for 2025 in the second week of January.

Specifically, students will return to their desks on Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2025), after the Epiphany celebration is complete, which this year falls on Monday (Jan. 6, 2025).

The school holidays for 2025

Several parents and students, however, are taking a look at the calendar to see the school holidays for the new year.

-Clean Monday: 3 March 2025

-March 25 (National Day): March 25 falls on a Tuesday, and school holiday events will take place on Monday (March 24, 2025).

On Friday, the holiday will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2025.
-Easter: Easter falls on April 20, 2025. Schools will close on Friday 11 April and will open on Monday 28 April, after Thomas Sunday.

-Easter: Thursday 1 May 2025
-Holy Spirit Day: Monday 9 June 2025

In addition, school holidays include the day of the feast of the patron saint of the school’s headquarters and the day of the local national holiday.
