Revive the custom of the officer in the barrel in Syntagma Square in Athens on the eve of New Year’s Eve.
In Athens, gifts were given to the traffic police by Michalis Chrysochoidis, who visited Syntagma Square and exchanged greetings with the traffic cop in the barrel. The chief of the Greek Police also exchanged wishes with the traffic police.
In his post, Michalis Chrysochoidis said: “It was with great pleasure that I was at Syntagma Square today, on the eve of the New Year, where I spoke with the traffic policemen – policemen who were performing their service in regulating traffic.
Our promise and commitment is to keep our Greece stable, our cities safe and every citizen in every corner of the country to feel that we are by their side, providing them with all the protection they need.”
