Katerina Sakellaropoulou heard the New Year’s carols at the Presidential Palace

The President of the Republic of Cyprus held talks with units of the Armed Forces, the Coast Guard and Greek-owned seagoing vessels of the Greek flag

The Band of the Armed Forces and the Presidential Guard sang New Year’s carols to the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Followed in succession: the Association of Minors and Young People, the spiritual foundation “Archive of Tsakonia”, the KAPH of the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi, the Association of Ano Liosia Arvanitic Culture “The Griza”, the Left Choir of the Metropolitan Church of Athens and the Imbrian Association.

Subsequently, the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou contacted by telephone the heads of the surveillance outposts in Farmakonisi and 126 in Soufli Evros, the captains of the frigates “Elli” and “Navarinon” operating in the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean, the chief airmen of the readiness echelons of the 130 Combat Battalion in Lemnos and the 135 Combat Battalion in Skyros, as well as the captain of the Coast Guard patrol boat “900”, which is performing a surveillance mission in the sea area of Rhodes. Ms Sakellaropoulou wished everyone a happy new year and thanked them for the dedication with which they carried out their mission.

The President of the Republic also contacted the captains of the Greek ocean-going ships “MARAN PHOEBE” and “AGONISTIS”, sailing in the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean, and wished them a good year with calm seas.

Also, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, at the invitation of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Ieronimos, attended the cutting ceremony of the Royal Cake of the Holy Archdiocese, at the Cathedral of Athens.
