44-year-old Azeri DJ in custody for drug party at luxury villa

Three other co-defendants who pleaded guilty today were released on conditional release

Newsroom January 3 04:21

The road to jail was taken immediately after the pleas of a 44-year-old Azeri DJ and a co-defendant, who face charges of aggravated drug trafficking during a party at a luxury villa in Kalyvia.

Reports say the 44-year-old woman argued before the investigating judge that she had not organize the drug party at the villa and that she had not sent invitations online.

In contrast, the other three co-defendants who pleaded guilty today were released with the restrictive conditions of appearing at the police station and bail of up to 4,000 euros. According to the same information, all the defendants claimed that the drugs were for their use. It is recalled that yesterday five people gave apologies for misdemeanour offences and were released without conditions.

Finally, the prosecution is conducting a criminal investigation into two serving police officers and a man from the judicial police, who were also arrested in the case.
