Mitsotakis on “Exoikonomo”: Improves quality of life and contributes to green development

"We ensured that resources are directed where they are most needed" – The program’s budget amounts to €434 million, covering 50% to 100% of subsidies

Newsroom January 8 07:00

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted the program’s role in advancing the goal of Green Development in a social media post marking the launch of the “Exoikonomo 2025” initiative.

“The submission of applications has begun for the program exoikonomo2025.gov.gr. We are enabling thousands of households to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes, reduce energy bills, improve their quality of life, and contribute to the goal of the green transition,” Mitsotakis stated.

Detailed Post:
“One of our most popular initiatives, according to application data from previous years, is starting again this year. I’m referring to the ‘Exoikonomo 2025’ program!

We are giving thousands of households the opportunity to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes, reducing energy costs, improving their quality of life, and contributing to the green transition of our country. At the same time, we are supporting our economy and especially the businesses operating in this sector.

The program’s budget amounts to €434 million, covering between 50% and 100% of subsidies for energy-efficient home upgrades.

We have ensured that resources are directed where they are most needed – for instance, families with members with disabilities, victims of the Thessaly floods, earthquake-affected areas like Arkalohori and Samos, families with at least three dependent children, and vulnerable households.

Our government continues to support households and the country’s green transition in tangible ways. In the coming days, additional programs will launch, aiming to support even more families, reduce energy costs, and improve the quality of life for all.”
