Archbishop of Albania Anastasios is in a serious but stable condition.

According to sources at Evagelismos Hospital, the 95-year-old prelate remains intubated but hemodynamically stable in the ICU, where he was admitted last Friday after the polar surgery he underwent.

As it has become known, the Archbishop had gastro-bleeding, which the doctors, from the first moment he was admitted to the Evangelism, tried to treat.

His Beatitude Anastasios has been hospitalized at Evangelism since Friday (3/1), when he was transferred to Athens from Tirana by an Hellenic Air Force aircraft.

Since 30 December he had been hospitalized in a clinic in Tirana. The initial diagnosis was a seasonal virus.
