Louka Katseli is SYRIZA‘s nominee for the election of the President of the Republic, following a collective decision of the Political Secretariat, announced by Socrates Famellos.

The statement of Socrates Famellos:

I am submitting today our proposal for the election of the President of the Republic following a collective decision of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance.

A personality who can unite the Greeks as a common candidate of the progressive parties of our country.

We propose the academic, politician and economist, Louka Katseli.

A person who has associated his name with implemented policies for balanced and sustainable development, reduction of inequalities, protection of the economically vulnerable, social policy and labour rights.

Luca Katseli is a personality with democratic ethos and values, international experience, who can strengthen the institution, democracy and citizens with her election.

We assume political and political responsibility, we formulate our own proposal.

We are not heteronomous from the New Democracy and from Mr. Mitsotakis, nor do we expect him.

We have a position, we have an opinion, we have a proposal and we are submitting it.
