Sources of the New Left characterize the phone call received by party President Alexis Charitsis from the President of SYRIZA, Socrates Famelo.

According to the same sources, Famelos informed Charitsis that the SYRIZA proposal will be Louca Katseli. Alexis Charitsis stressed, in turn, that the stance of the New Left will be decided in the party’s organs that will meet in the coming days.

The decision to be taken in the next meeting will be made in the next few days.

However, New Left said that a great opportunity for the convergence of leftist and progressive forces in a candidacy with heavy symbolism for the defense of the rule of law was missed in the case of Christos Rammou, criticizing SYRIZA for its stance.
