An alarm was raised at noon on Wednesday (22/1) in a park in the Bavarian city of Aschaffenburg after a knife attack.

According to reports, two people lost their lives and two others were seriously injured. According to the BILD newspaper, a child is among the victims.

A large police operation is underway in the area. In fact, according to German media, the police have made an arrest.

“The area around the crime scene is still blocked off. One person is in custody. There are no indications of other suspects. There is no danger to the public,” the police stressed.
