Photos distributed to reporters by Israeli authorities capture the heartwarming reunion of the hostages released, Gandhi Moses and Arbel Yehud,with their families, after more than 480 days of detention in Gaza.
In one of the photos, Moses is surrounded by his children, Yair, Moran and Indo. Yair is shown with a thick beard, as he had promised not to shave his face until his father’s return. Another photo captures the 80-year-old Moses smiling with his relatives.
Others show Arbel hugging IDF members at a facility near Gaza, as well as being with her family in a helicopter.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today denounced the chaotic conditions in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, during the release of two Israeli hostages, calling them “shocking scenes.”
“I watch in horror the shocking scenes of the release of our hostages. This is further proof of the indiscriminate cruelty of the Hamas terrorist organization,” Netanyahu stressed in a statement.
It will be recalled that after the 20-year-old soldier Agam Berger, at noon Thursday, 29-year-old Israeli Arbel Yehud and 80-year-old Gandhi Moses, as well as five Thais, something the Israeli army confirmed.
