Veson Nautical: These are the 10 leading shipping countries, with Greece ranking in the top 3

The top 10 shipping nations are presented by Veson Nautical a company that provides software and solutions for the nautical industry, especially in the area of fleet management, route planning, and shipping management tracking.

The company comments: “Since the publication of the top 10 shipping nations in 2024, we have updated the latest global rankings, showing the total values of fleets – both those in the water and those on order for shipbuilding – by country of interest,” and adds: “From China overtaking Japan to lead the way with an impressive $255 billion fleet, to the notable entry of Switzerland with a $68 billion fleet, the report highlights significant transformations in asset values and ownership dynamics over the past year.”

The China-Japan duo is followed by Greece, while the US and Singapore round out the top five. In the top 10, we find South Korea, the UK, Norway, Switzerland, and Germany in the order of ranking.
