A 24-hour strike for February 28 ended with a meeting of the General Council of the Supreme Administration of Public Employees’ Unions, held yesterday.
This is the date, which marks the two-year anniversary of the Tempi accident.
In its statement, ADEDY wrote: “We call on the Federations, the N.T. of ADEDY, Federations of the Unions, the Unions and all workers to fight for the success of the strike, so that there is no cover-up of the crime, its causes and perpetrators and that JUSTICE is done. On 28 FEBRUARY EVERYONE ON THE ROAD AND IN THE MEETINGS.”
The strike will start from 00.01 am on Friday morning until 24.00 midnight on the same day.
The seafarers’ union will proceed with sending outgoing letters within the next few days, in which it will position itself on the tragic accident in Tempi.
