Trump attacks judges who block his executive orders: They want to slow us down in our search for the truth

Judges have blocked the implementation of Trump's executive orders, who seems determined to expand his powers over the judiciary and Congress

Newsroom February 11 07:30

US President Donald Trump took issue today, in posts on the Truth Social platform, with “highly politicized judges” blocking some of his rulings, continuing his administration’s attack on judicial institutions.

“We have found billions of dollars of fraud, scams and overreach, investigating our government’s mismanagement. Now, some activists and highly politicized judges want to delay or stop us,” the US president claimed. “If we lose our momentum, that would be very bad in our struggle to seek the truth (…) There is still much to discover. There are no excuses,” he added.

One of his closest White House colleagues, Steven Miller, also wrote on Platform X that “if a local judge wanted to check the executive branch, he had no choice but to run for president.”

Judges have blocked the implementation of several executive orders by the Republican president, who seems determined to expand his powers over judicial institutions and Congress as much as possible. His decision to repeal the law of the land (the automatic acquisition of citizenship by anyone born in the US) has caused a court battle, while the brutal methods of billionaire businessman Elon Musk, whom he has commissioned to cut federal spending, have led to many appeals to the courts.

In a post on Platform X, Vice President J.D. Vance opined that judges lack the power to “check the legitimate actions of the executive branch,” comparing the situation to a judge hypothetically interfering in a general’s military strategy.

“Judicial tyranny is highly improper,” Elon Musk commented for his part.
