Hawaii: 28-year-old man dies after diving off a 15-metre cliff into the sea (video)

The video captures the moment the 28-year-old dives from one of the most dangerous spots in Hawaii, known as Spitting Cave

Newsroom February 13 11:51

Shocking video of the latest – and fatal as it turned out – cliff dive in Hawaii of 28-year-old gymnast and rugby athlete Santiago Bourdieu.

The video has captured the moment the 28-year-old dives from one of the most dangerous spots in Hawaii, known as Spitting Cave.

Immediately after entering the water, 28-year-old Bourdieu did not immediately surface, resulting in an immediate search operation to locate him.

Santiago Bordieu, un joven argentino de 28 años y profesor de educación física oriundo de San Isidro, murió tras lanzarse desde el peligroso acantilado Spitting Cave, en Hawái, Estados Unidos.

After 15 minutes Bourdieu was found unconscious at another location.

Rescuers who had rushed in gave him CPR with the 28-year-old, who worked as a gym teacher at a Buenos Aires school, regaining consciousness but eventually dying at the hospital where he was taken.

This particular location in Hawaii is named after the raging waves that crash against the rocks and look like the area is being “spat out” by the ocean.
