The launch event for the 2025 Formula 1 season is just around the corner. The pinnacle of motorsport is gearing up for a unique event at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, February 18, unlike anything seen before.
All 10 teams, along with the 20 drivers on the grid, will be present, with Formula 1 promising “an unprecedented event” featuring “live musical performances and various other forms of entertainment.”

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated: “For the first time, we are bringing together F1 fans, the 20 superstars of the sport, as well as special guests, to officially kick off the new season—our 75th in history.”

The “Games” Teams Will Play
At the Formula 1 event, all 10 teams are expected to showcase the liveries their cars will sport for the upcoming season. However, it remains unknown which teams will bring their actual 2025 cars to the O2 Arena, as most are expected to display a demo car painted in their new colors.
McLaren Racing and Williams Racing might present their actual cars since they have already unveiled them. However, they don’t want prying eyes from rival teams inspecting their designs too closely. In McLaren’s case, the team from Woking would rather have Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes get their first close-up look at the MCL39 during pre-season testing in Bahrain.

Eyes on the Season Opener
One week after the Formula 1 event celebrating 75 years of history, the 2025 winter testing session will follow. The three-day test will take place at Bahrain’s Sakhir Circuit from February 26 to 28.
The season’s opening race, the Australian Grand Prix, will be held over the weekend of March 14-16.
