With the political atmosphere dominated by anger over the Tempe issue, the Southwest maintains a comfortable lead despite a significant drop in its rally to 56% , according to the results of the ALCO poll presented on Alpha’s main newscast. All parties – with the exception of the Voice of Reason and the Serenity Party – recorded losses.

PASOK Loses 1.2 Percentage Points Compared to January, While Maintaining 84% Cohesion
Despite retaining 84% cohesion, PASOK has seen a loss of 1.2 percentage points compared to January, primarily losing ground to New Democracy and, to a lesser extent, Plevsi Eleftherias. SYRIZA has experienced a smaller loss of 0.4 percentage points and currently sits in fifth place with 7.3% in voting intention, trailing behind KKE and Elliniki Lysi, both of which also show losses from January.
Widespread Frustration
Meanwhile, 72% of citizens, including 43% of those who voted for New Democracy in the last national elections, still believe there was an attempt to cover up the Tempi disaster. Additionally, 71% feel that the government has not facilitated the work of the judiciary, which remains distrusted by the public. 44% express no trust in the judiciary at all, while 23% say they trust it “a little.” Moreover, 81% believe that the government did not do enough after the tragedy to make train travel safer.
