The “resurrection” of the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline, linking Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea, is brought to the fore by a new survey conducted by Swiss StreamTec Solutions.

The company’s research, created by the Nord Stream Pipeline Management Group, examined the current status of Nord Stream 2 as well as future options, concluding that it could be reused to transport hydrogen and LNG.

The Nord Stream 2 has been at the center of a political and diplomatic poker game between Berlin and Moscow, and has been formally inactive since September 2022, when it was sabotaged by explosives.
