Tourism: green light for three strategic investments of €1.2 billion

They concern the development of high-end tourism by Hydra Rock in Ermionida, GH Hotel in Evia and Astakos Terminal in Aitoloakarnania - They will receive the incentives of fast-track licensing and Special Spatial Development Plans for Strategic Investments

The Departmental Committee for Strategic Investments has approved the Strategic Investments in the Tourism sector, with a total budget of 1.22 billion euros.

These three investments, which will receive through the General Secretariat for Private Investment the incentives of rapid licensing and Special Spatial Development Plans for Strategic Investments, are for developing high-quality tourism, taking into account sustainability criteria in areas where they can create significant growth potential for the local community.

The strategic investment of HYDRA ROCK PROPERTIES S.A., with a budget of 474 million euros, includes the creation of an Emblematic Sustainable Tourism Resort of High Standards in the region of Ermionida.

The strategic investment of the GH HOTEL HOTEL HOTEL AND TOURIST SOCIETY S.A., with a budget of 224 million euros, aims at the development of an ultra-luxury tourist ecological resort and luxury holiday homes in the Megalonga island of the island complex of Petalia Evia.

The Committee met with the Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, while the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni, the Minister of State Makis Voridis and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis participated as members.
