Chaos prevailed in the Parliament after the unacceptable behavior of New Democracy MP Dimitris Kyriazidis, who while Mrs. Zoe Konstantopoulou was speaking was heard from the benches commenting on the fact that the President of the Electoral Platform has no children.

The MP’s phrase and his insistence on not apologising provoked a strong reaction from the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Sofia Zacharaki and the entire Parliament.

The incident took place at the moment Nikitas Kaklamanis had ascended to the plenary’s presidium to observe Mrs Konstantopoulou for breaking the time limit.

According to information, Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Parliament and asked him to convey to Kyriazidis that he either apologize immediately or be removed deleted from the party. Shortly afterwards, the ND MP was referred to the Ethics Committee of the ND Parliamentary Group with the question of removal.

The announcement of his referral was made by Nikitas Kaklamanis in Parliament, while he himself apologized to Ms. Konstantopoulou and to all women.
