New tax cuts will be announced very soon by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, opening today the cycle of visits to the ministries after the new government formation, starting with the Ministry of Finance, where he arrived on Monday morning (17/3), where he was welcomed by the new Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

“For the first time, the Greek state did something that all governments in the past had committed to, but had failed or lacked the will. We have improved revenues for the first time, as a result of limiting tax evasion,” stressed Kyriakos Mitsotakis, adding:

“We will continue this effort and I want to emphasize that this additional, permanent stable revenue for the economy will return to the Greek economy, either through an increase in public investments or through tax reductions. Citizens who see the positive results of the fight against tax evasion ultimately know that they themselves will benefit from this great national success, and this is something that they will begin to realize and see very soon.“

The Ministry of Finance is the first ministry visited by the Prime Minister after the reshuffle and he was welcomed there earlier by the new Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

The Prime Minister met at the Ministry of Finance, the new economy “tsar” Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanasis and the two Deputy Ministers Giorgos Kotsiras and Thanos Petralias. “Present” at the meeting was also the former Minister of Finance and now Deputy Prime Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis.
