At the ceremony, her mother delivered an emotional speech:
“It’s hard for me to speak, but it’s easy to talk about my Kyriaki. She was beautiful, kind, and full of courage. She did what every woman facing abuse should do—she asked for help. But some people refused to give it.”
Her father added:
“This is where my daughter’s soul took flight. Let this memorial remind you of her bravery. Girls, hold your heads high. No man has the right to raise a hand against you.”
The event concluded with a performance by the Ilion Music School, honoring Kyriaki’s memory through song.
