ENFIA recalculation with exemptions for natural disaster victims – Which areas are affected and how beneficiaries are notified

Recalculation also carried out for those who lost the insured housing discount

Newsroom April 14 10:01

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has issued updated ENFIA (property tax) assessments for 2025 concerning properties damaged by natural disasters or located in designated special areas.

These adjustments are based on tax relief provisions legislated after the main 2025 ENFIA assessments were issued. Additionally, a recalculation was performed for those who lost their ENFIA reduction due to insured residences.

Key Details:

  • The process affects 49,200 taxpayers.
  • The total tax reduction amounts to €6.035 million.
  • The recalculations and exemptions apply to properties located:

• Within the settlement of Anargyroi, in the municipality of Amyntaio, Florina Regional Unit, which has been declared for compulsory expropriation, or within other settlements deemed urbanistically inactive by Presidential Decree of 5.12.2002. Specifically, properties in the communities of Peponia, Polylakko, the settlements of Axiokastro, Klima, Trapezitsa, Panareti, and Pylorio of the municipality of Voio (Kozani Regional Unit), as well as the communities of Kalamitsi, Kalochio, and Mesolakko in the Grevena Regional Unit.

• Within the administrative boundaries of the municipalities of Mantoudi–Limni–Agia Anna and Istiaia–Aidipsos (Euboea Regional Unit, Region of Central Greece), affected by the wildfires beginning on 27 July 2021.

• In areas affected by the earthquakes of 24 July and 27 September 2021 in Crete.

• In areas of the regional units of Larisa, Trikala, and Karditsa (Region of Thessaly), Pieria (Central Macedonia), Grevena and Kozani (Western Macedonia), and Fthiotida (Central Greece), which were affected by the earthquake of 3 March 2021.

Additionally, the recalculation includes a small number of taxpayers who lost the insured housing ENFIA discount due to technical reasons following the submission of an amended property declaration (E9) for the year 2025.

How to Check the Updated ENFIA Statement:

Beneficiaries can view and download their new ENFIA assessment via the digital portal myAADE (myaade.gov.gr) at:
Applications > Popular Applications > E9/ENFIA Statement > Access Application, selecting “Year 2025”, or via the myAADEapp.

All taxpayers will also be notified via email and their personal inbox (“My Messages”) on the portal regarding the issuance of the new assessment.
