Detailed Traffic Regulations

Due to the organization of a road race called “16th International Poseidon Half Marathon and Parallel Events,” temporary traffic regulations will be implemented on Sunday (April 27) on the following road sections in the municipalities of Palaio Faliro and Alimos:

  • Temporary Traffic Closure: From 05:00 to 13:00, as follows:
  • Poseidonos Avenue, in the section between Syngrou Avenue (Psaliro location) and Amphitheas Avenue, in the direction towards Glyfada.
  • Old Poseidonos Avenue, in the section from the intersection with Ioannou Fix Street to the intersection with New Poseidonos Avenue, in the direction towards Glyfada.

During the above traffic regulations, vehicle movement will occur as follows:

  • In the direction from Athens to Glyfada: Syngrou Avenue (towards Glyfada/Piraeus) – Amphitheas Avenue – Poseidonos Avenue.
  • In the direction from Piraeus to Glyfada: Syngrou Avenue (towards Athens) – Zisimopoulou – Agios Anargyros – Amphitheas Avenue or Dimosthenous – Amphitheas Avenue.
  • Temporary Traffic Closure: From 04:00 to 13:00, with a prohibition on stopping and parking, on P. Ioannou Avgeri Street (in front of the T/C Averof – Municipal Swimming Pool of Palaio Faliro), in the section between Aphrodite and Moraitini Streets (in front of TAE KWON DO) in both traffic directions.

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) appeals to drivers for their better service and to prevent traffic accidents, reminding them to be particularly cautious while passing through the aforementioned areas and to follow the existing road signs and the instructions of traffic officers.
