The Greek tennis player, in her debut at the Madrid Open and in Hill’s second stint, triumphed 6-4, 7-6 (7) over China’s Xinyu Wang and advanced to the 2nd round.
The match lasted 2 hours and 8 minutes.
In the round of 64, she will face Polish player Magda Linette, who is ranked No. 33.
