Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, received today, Friday, May 2, at the Ministry of National Defence, accompanied by Deputy Minister Thanasis Davakis, the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber.

As announced, during the meeting, the two ministers agreed to further strengthen the defence ecosystems (EDGE) of the two countries and to establish long-term cooperation within the broader framework of the strategic defence relationship between Greece and the UAE.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of the General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis, the Director General of the General Directorate of Defence Equipment and Investment (DGDEE), Major General Ioannis Bouras, the Director General of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations of the Ministry of National Defence (DGDEE), Ambassador Michael Spinellis, the CEO of ELKAK, Pantelis Tzortzakis, and relevant staff of the Armed Forces.
